Apprenticeships combine practical training in a job with study. They take 1 to 4 years to complete depending on their level.

As an apprentice you will:

work alongside experienced staff

gain job-specific skills

study towards a related qualification (usually one day a week)

With a Police Constable Degree Apprenticeship (PCDA) you can earn and learn on the job, and you’ll end up with a degree in Professional Policing Practice at the end of the programme. Many forces are recruiting officers in this way right now - you can apply through your chosen force.
